A Nigerian lady has questioned why some men now give up quickly when a woman tells them she is still considering whether to pursue a relationship with them.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she wondered why the traditional talking stage appears to be changing. She noted that some men immediately walk away once a woman expresses uncertainty or reveals that she is not yet interested.
The lady expressed concern that women may need more time to make up their minds before deciding whether to give a man a chance.
In her words, she said:
“Please, why is it that most guys do not drag talking stages anymore? Once a girl says, ‘I’m not really interested,’ or, ‘I’m still trying,’ they will just be like, ‘Okay.’ You guys are giving up so quickly. What if the girl is still thinking about it? What if she’s trying to make her decision?”
She further questioned why men no longer appear willing to give women more time to decide if they want to pursue a relationship.
Her remarks have sparked discussion about modern dating and whether men should give women more time to make decisions during the talking stage.
While some may view walking away as respecting a woman’s response, others believe communication and patience are important when two people are still getting to know each other.
