Prophetess Sommy has warned followers of Adazion against allegedly bringing violence to her ministry, days after she criticised Adazion over her birthday celebration.
In a video circulating on social media, Sommy issued the warning while addressing what she described as threats against her.
She said those who were threatening her online were free to continue, but warned them against bringing such confrontation to her church.
“If you bring the madness to church on physical gathering, we will off the camera and beat. If you bring violence into this church physically on Wednesday, we will off the camera and beat you. You are free to threaten me on social media, but don’t come to my ministry and do nonsense,” she said.
Dispute follows criticism over Adazion’s birthday party
The warning comes days after Sommy called out Adazion over her birthday party, with the disagreement subsequently generating discussion among social media users.
The comments surrounding the issue have also led to differing reactions, with some users criticising Sommy’s warning while others questioned the conduct of the religious figures involved.
Social media users react
One user, Flawless, criticised Sommy and questioned her approach to biblical teachings, writing: “The day this young lady started talking nonsense about the Bible on social media and twisted some words, I had to block her because she was not following the Word of God properly. Now I’m hearing this nonsense again. Wow! I wonder who made her a pastor. Omg!”
EduBlack wrote: “The church is a joke now. Our ancestors are dealing with them. The internet can now see their minds. They all fighting for their pocket. Thieves.”
Another user, Deltablood, wrote: “If I be president I go first ban church and send this criminals to prison.”
John, however, appeared to offer a different perspective, arguing that Adazion’s event was held in a rented venue rather than inside her ministry.
He wrote: “WHAT THIS WOMAN FAIL TO UNDERSTAND IS THAT CHURCHES HAVE THEIR SYSTEM ADAZION IS A CATHOLIC AND CATHOLIC PEOPLE ONES THE PROGRAM IS NOT INSIDE CHURCH YOU ARE FREE TO BRING ALCOHOL IN YOUR PARTY,THIS PARTY IS NOT INSIDE ADAZION MINISTRY IS A LENTED HALL.”
WahalaTimes also criticised Sommy, writing: “This kind of women have very bad character and they always use religion to cover it up. Push them small and see their real character come out. Many church people are using religion to cover up their true identity.”
Mazi Uche added: “All these misguided merchants parading as Prophets and Prophetess. The people I blame are those following their deception.”
