A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after revealing that her sister’s ex- fiancé has married her chief bridesmaid months after their wedding was cancelled.
The woman shared the revelation while recalling the events that led to her sister’s wedding and traditional marriage being called off in May 2026.
‘My Sister’s Supposed-to-Be Husband Married Her Chief Bridesmaid’
The lady said her sister’s former fiancé has now married the woman who served as her chief bridesmaid and was reportedly one of her close friends.
She wrote:
“My sister’s supposed be husband married her chief bride’s maid instead.”
She then reminded her followers of the earlier incident involving her sister and the man.
‘She Went to Benin to Get Her Phone’
According to the lady, her sister’s wedding was cancelled after she travelled to Benin to retrieve her phone, despite her fiancé allegedly asking her not to go.
She said the man considered her action disobedience.
“Hope u remembered a story I shared sometime ago in may 2026 about my sister’s wedding/traditional marriage being cancelled cos she went to Benin to get her phone which the husband asked her to forget?. According to him, she disobeyed him,” she wrote.
‘That Man Don Finally Marry My Sister’s Chief Bride’s Maid’
The woman expressed surprise that the man eventually married her sister’s chief bridesmaid, whom she described as her sister’s “very tight/close friend.”
“That man don finally marry my sister’s chief bride’s maid. (Her very tight/close friend),” she stated.
She also suggested that she believed there could have been more to the situation than the disagreement over the phone.
“I know very well that something was cooking, it wasn’t just disobeying him,” she wrote.
‘Let God Judge Them’
Despite her disappointment, the woman said she wished the new couple well.
“Some people get mind, well, I wish her all the best. One thing for sure is that no sin goes unpunished. Let God judge them,” she concluded.
Her post has since sparked reactions online, with social media users sharing different views about the man’s decision to marry his former fiancée’s close friend.
