Founder and senior pastor of Jesus House Baltimore, Pastor Tola Odutola, has recounted a shocking conversation he had with married men about extramarital relationships.
Speaking in a video shared online, the clergyman recalled being at a meeting where plans were being made for a dinner that would involve members bringing their wives.
However, he became surprised when some of the men insisted that everyone should bring only their wives.
“I was shocked, so I asked a question. I said, ‘So who would you bring to a husband-and-wife dinner if not your wife?’ Somebody must have looked at me and had pity on me and said, ‘Poor pastor.’ And the boy said, ‘I’m telling you here, there’s nobody here that does not have a side chick.’ I said, ‘I don’t.’ And everybody looked at me,” he said.
Odutola explained that he had been married for 36 years and had known his wife for 39 years, stressing that he had never been involved with another woman.
He expressed gratitude to God for keeping him away from what he described as “this kind of foolishness,” noting that some of the men involved even professed Christianity.
“I think God has shielded me for too many years from this kind of foolishness. I’ve been married for 36 years; I’ve never done another woman. Even in the 39 years I’ve known my wife, I’ve never known any other woman. I said, ‘What’s wrong with you guys?’” he added.
The pastor’s testimony has drawn attention online, with some social media users praising his commitment to his marriage and others discussing his account of the conversation among married men.
Odutola further urged people not to make assumptions about married men, insisting that he should be excluded from such claims.

Marriage is honorable, and the marriage bed should remain undefiled.
