Cole Palmer has signed an improved Chelsea contract that extends his stay at Stamford Bridge until 2034.
The England international, 24, was already contracted until 2033 but has been rewarded for his performances and growing influence within the squad.
The new agreement places Palmer among the small group of Premier League players tied to clubs until 2034, alongside Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Chelsea teammates Joao Pedro and Geovany Quenda.
Chelsea reward Palmer’s growing influence
Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023 for £42.5m and has since established himself as a key figure in the team.
His renewal follows a series of contract extensions as Chelsea seek to retain established stars and promising young players while maintaining their wage structure.

Joao Pedro signed a deal until 2034 in August, while Pedro Neto agreed a new six-year contract last month.
Palmer has also developed a strong understanding with Brazilian forward Joao Pedro and renewed his on-field partnership with Morgan Rogers during the early stages of Xabi Alonso’s reign as Chelsea manager.
The midfielder was reportedly among the few people aware of Chelsea’s negotiations to sign Rogers from Aston Villa for a club-record £117m this summer.
Palmer has recorded four goals and two assists in seven matches this season, providing evidence of his return to form after a difficult campaign affected by a persistent groin problem.
Fitness remains key for Palmer
The new deal comes after Palmer struggled with injuries last season, later admitting he continued playing through a groin issue when he probably should not have done.
His availability problems contributed to his omission from England’s World Cup squad over the summer, and he missed the latest international break despite playing more minutes than any other Chelsea player this season.
England manager Thomas Tuchel previously expressed frustration over Palmer missing opportunities to represent his country.
However, Alonso expects the midfielder to be available for Saturday’s Premier League match against Bournemouth after a week of training.
“Absolutely. He’s committed, but he needs to be fully fit to play,” Alonso said when asked about Palmer’s commitment to England.
“And when he’s fully fit, he will enjoy his minutes. We need him in that moment. The club and the national team.”
Alonso added that Palmer had been feeling better but that Chelsea did not want to rush his recovery.
Chelsea currently sit 10th in the Premier League after five matches, having conceded 12 goals.
